One of the nice things about our county government is that much of the planning/zoning/permit activity is available online. This includes a detailed status of where permits are in the review process. By hopping on the website, I can get a good idea of the real-time status of my building permit — here’s where things stand right now:
Based on this, it appears that the application has been uploaded into the system, we’ve already gotten approval from the State Highway department. The Building Department has assigned the file, and we’re still waiting for things to get moving with Sediment Control, Zoning and Engineering.
I’ll post more once there is some additional movement…
