We got our Demo Permit today, which will allow us to tear down our existing house. While it was a quick process (I only spent about 30 minutes at the permit office), this is the culmination of many months of preparation and planning. Several weeks ago, we moved out of our house, had our electrical lines disconnected and pulled, had our water disconnected, had our phone lines pulled and got approvals from several other county departments. So, it feels like a big accomplishment, especially given the delays we’ve had on our other permits.

We’re not going to actually start demo for a few more weeks (when we have all permits approved), but having the permit in-hand is one more milestone towards the start of construction.
