I had a face-to-face meeting with The Bartley Corp a couple weeks ago to get some questions answered and to determine if I’d be comfortable working with them on the foundation portion of the project. I was actually very impressed with their responsiveness and communication and they did a great job making me feel comfortable with their ability to handle the project.
Unfortunately, we hadn’t yet worked out the details of the price quote, so I let them know that they were a good bit above my budget (and a good bit above the other company we were speaking with), and gave them an opportunity to bring the price down. They got me a new price this morning, and were able to get the price down a good bit, but unfortunately, we’re still a bit off of where we need to be. I plan to try to get them down a bit more and ultimately, we may need to consider putting in an asphalt driveway instead of a concrete driveway to save a few thousand more dollars.
I’m hoping we can come to terms with these guys in the near future…
