One of the common after-thoughts when doing a big construction project is having a porta potty (portable bathroom) onsite for your contractors. While it may not seem like a big thing, when you have contractors leaving the site to find a bathroom or horrifying your neighbors by going behind a tree, you realize that upside of spending $100-150/month far outweighs the downside of lost productivity and upset neighbors.
After calling around to a few of the bigger porta potty providers, I think I’ve settled on one of the big ones in my area, Bobby’s Portable Restrooms (or “Bobby’s Pottys” as they typically call themselves). Their pricing is as follows:
- First Month: $170
- Additional Months: $120
I expect that we’ll need one potty for about five months, for a total of about $650. This includes weekly cleaning, and they also provide roll-off dumpsters, so we’ll likely use them for our dumpsters needs as well.
